Your employees and managers are used to logging on to a computer to perform self-service transactions in your HRMS, such as viewing a paycheck. Mobile self-service is a relative newcomer to the scene but has been quickly gaining ground in employee adoption. In CedarCrestone\u2019s most recent survey, mobile payroll apps have taken the lead by a slim margin over recruiting apps, the long-standing frontrunner on the HRMS app front.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mobile payroll apps are a new frontier, and self-service in this area is much more than just paycheck viewing. Mobile payroll is enabling employees to view a full set of payroll data, such as earnings, deductions, and taxes, including year-to-date values. Employees are able to review their payment methods and bank accounts, as well as to enter new values. Many HRMS include payroll deadlines and links to further transactions, such as an address change, or signing up for new deductions, giving transparency to the timing of changes and new additions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What advantages does mobile payroll bring, beyond traditional HRMS self-service ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.timelabs.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Payroll1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.timelabs.in\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Payroll1.png\" alt=\"Payroll\" width=\"768\" height=\"491\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Advantages have already been gained through moving from traditional core HRMS to employee self-service, including better data integrity through placing the data in front of employees and increased familiarity with HRMS data. Mobile payroll takes these advantages even further: it connects employees to their data in a familiar setting, via a device they already use for a number of personal financial transactions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A correlation has been shown between employees who conduct mobile-enabled HR transactions and a higher reported level of employee engagement. At the managerial level, mobile apps lead to better decision-making, such as appropriate pay increases based on the HRMS and market data as presented in the app.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition, HR and payroll professionals benefit, as employees are able to get updated payroll transactions into the HRMS more quickly. While an employee will not log in to a work PC on a Saturday night just to access the HRMS to enter new payroll data, a personal handheld device does not hold the same \u201cwork\u201d stigma and is more accessible. The transparency of data also equates to fewer administrative questions to HR professionals, as employees and managers are able to find the data and answers they need on their own, in a fast and efficient setting.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mobile self-service payroll transactions are a trend that will continue to grow and spread as HRMS vendors develop their offerings in this market.
